庄子和蝴蝶

有一天， 庄子在花园里睡着了。 他做了一个梦， 梦见他是一只很好看的蝴蝶。 它飞到东、飞到西， 最后飞累了， 就睡着了。 蝴蝶也做了一个梦， 梦见它是庄子。 这时候， 庄子醒了。 他不知道他现在是真的庄子呢， 还是蝴蝶梦里的庄子…他也不知道是他梦见了蝴蝶呢， 还是蝴蝶梦见了他。

Zhuāngzǐ hé Húdié

Yǒu yí tiān, Zhuāngzǐ zài huāyuán lǐ shuìzháo le.  Tā zuò le yí ge mèng, mèngjiàn tā shì yì zhī hěn hǎokàn de húdié.  Tā fēi dào dōng, fēi dào xī, zuìhòu fēi lèi le; jiù shuìzháo le.  Tā yě zuò le yí ge mèng, mèngjiàn tā shi Zhuāngzǐ.  Zhè shǐhòu, Zhuāngzǐ xǐng le.  Tā bù zhīdào tā xiànzài shì zhēn de Zhuāngzǐ ne, háishi húdié mèng lǐ de Zhuāngzǐ… tā yě bù zhīdào shì tā mèngjiàn le húdié ne, háishi húdié mèngjiàn le tā.

Zhuangzi & the Butterfly

Once upon a time, Zhuangzi the philosopher dozed off in a garden full of flowers, and dreamt he was a beautiful butterfly.  It fluttered by, hither and thither, until it grew tired and also fell asleep.  It too had a dream, and dreamt it was Zhuangzi.  At that instant, Zhuangzi awoke.  He did not know whether he was now the real Zhuangzi, or the one in the butterfly’s dream; nor did he know whether he had dreamt of the butterfly, or it had dreamt of him.

Zhuangzi e la farfalla

Un giorno, il filosofo Zhuangzi s’addormentò in un giardino pieno di fiori.  Egli fece un sogno, e sognò di essere una bellissima farfalla.  Volò qua e là, così tanto che si stancò e s’addormentò.  La farfalla fece un sogno anch’essa, e sognò di essere Zhuangzi.  A quell’istante, Zhuangzi si svegliò.  Egli non sapeva se fosse, ora, il vero Zhuangzi, oppure quello del sogno della farfalla.  Non sapeva neppure se fosse stato lui a sognare la farfalla, o questa a sognare lui.

Zhuangzi et le papillon

Un jour, le philosophe Zhuangzi s’endormit dans un jardin fleuri, et fit un rêve.  Il rêva qu’il était un très beau papillon.  Le papillon vola çà et là jusqu’à l’épuisement ; puis, il s’endormit à son tour.  Le papillon fit un rêve aussi.  Il rêva qu’il était Zhuangzi.  À cet instant, Zhuangzi se réveilla.  Il ne savait point s’il était, maintenant, le véritable Zhuangzi ou bien le Zhuangzi du rêve du papillon.  Il ne savait pas non plus si c’était lui qui avait rêvé du papillon, ou le papillon qui avait rêvé de lui.

Zhuangzi i la papallona

Un dia, el filòsof Zhuangzi s’adormí en un jardí ple de flors.  Va somiar que era una meravellosa papallona.  Aquesta volà cap a l’oest, cap a l’est, fins a esgotar-se, i aleshores es va adormir.  Ella somià que era Zhuangzi.  En aquell moment, Zhuangzi es va despertar.  Ell no sabia si era, ara, el veritable Zhuangzi o el del somni de la papallona; tampoc no sabia si ell havia somiat la papallona, o si la papallona l’havia somiat ell.
